On Monday, June 27, S769 passed the NJ Senate by a vote of 24-11. Session Roll Call is posted below.

The bill would establish an education coordinating agency within each county. The Assembly companion bill, sponsored by Assemblyman Diegnan, had been posted for consideration by the Assembly Education committee earlier this month, but was pulled due to organized opposition to the bill.

ASAH is working with a number of other education groups that also oppose the bill, and has arranged to meet with members of the Assembly Education committee to express our concerns. ASAH has been assured by its lobbyist that the Governor’s office does not support the measure.
